Dear Sir,

Subject: Other Charges for Reservation Chart and PNR details under RTI Act

At present Railways is charging Rs.1000/- per page of reservation chart and Rs.750/- for each PNR details depending upon details of status of passenger having travelled or not. This amount is exorbitant and unreasonable in addition to being against RTI Act/rules.

I invite your kind attention to Railway Commercial Circular No. 65 of 2011 and recent decision No. CIC/SA/C/2015/901116 dated 15-01-2016 of Central Information Commission.

I request you to kindly take necessary action for reducing other charges in conformity with RTI Act /rules and aforesaid decision of CIC.

Yours faithfully,
J P Shah
